I enjoyed presenting Emerging Smart and Sustainable Built Environment Trends at the CIB’s President’s seminar series.

The presentation covered trends and new ideas on sustainability, sufficiency and building rating systems, influencing human behaviour and habits, circular built environments, smart technologies and new business models, and adaptive building pathways.

The talk generated some interesting questions and discussion, particularly around the idea of sufficiency and whether current guidelines and city, neighbourhood and building rating tools were adequate for the scale and rate of change now required.
